Happy New Year, and welcome back to Term 3. This term, Year Six are working hard to prepare themselves for their SATs tests in May – further details to follow.
We have given out the new SATs workbooks for homework tasks – these are a great resource to help our revision and development, and to give you as parents a great understanding of the topics and vocabulary being taught in school. Homework from these will be set on a Friday and due in on a Wednesday.
Parents Evenings will be taking place on the 12th and 13th of February – thank you for returning your slips so promptly!
Attached is our year group newsletter for this term. Year 6
We were all extremely lucky to go and see Aladdin in Maidstone Theatre on Thursday. All of the children and teachers really enjoyed themselves!
The teachers and the children have really enjoyed dancing to ‘old school’ songs in the hall with our brand new sound system! Saturday night has definitely been a favourite!
This term we have been looking at enrichment and what enriches the children’s lives. We have identified what makes a good friend and times where we have portrayed this. We also discussed what we would look for if we went shopping for a new friend. This has bought out some interesting discussion points and made the children think about themselves as a friend and role model to the younger children.
