During our Science Week we had the opportunity to do something out of the ordinary. 4AB made some foam snakes using plastic cups, microfiber cloths, elastic bands and water. The children had lots of fun playing with the foam snakes and trying to make the biggest snake they could! It was lots of fun!
The children have spent the past few weeks designing a moving animal. They have had to plan the size of their animal and the size of the box. They spent this afternoon (4.7.18) measuring and sawing their wood. They will spend next week hammering their wood together.
This term in Music the children have been exploring different styles of drums. They have learnt the 4 different styles of drumming which are; ‘the bass hit’, ‘the open hit’, ‘the slap’, ‘the rest’.
On Thursday 17th May, Rev. Terranova came to 4AB to answer the children’s questions about Pentecost and how people in our community celebrate it and about the church service Rev. Terranova provides. All of the children’s questions were answered and they now have a much stronger understanding about Pentecost and how it is celebrated. We look forward to welcoming Rev. Terranova back in to 4AB in the future.
The children had a lovely time celebrating the Royal Wedding today. The children each made a piece of bunting that was hung from our classroom windows and they each had a mug to decorate in a royal wedding theme. They then enjoyed eating their lunch outside together as a school!
